Delivery, Duty and Taxes
Each piece of our jewellery is a handcrafted legacy in the making. We take pride in a delivery process that is as precise and secure as the craftsmanship itself, ensuring your gold arrives safely, wherever you are in the world
Delivery, Lead Times & International Orders
Every piece of Welsh Gold jewellery is meticulously made to order in our workshop. Because of this bespoke and artisanal process, our delivery timelines reflect the deep time and care it takes to craft your piece.
Production Lead Times & Timeline Estimates
Standard Website Pieces: Most items featured on our website are beautifully crafted and ready for dispatch within 4 to 6 weeks of your order confirmation and acceptance.
Simpler Designs: Plain band rings or minimalist designs are often completed much sooner.
Elaborate & Bespoke Designs: Intricate stone settings, detailed engravings, or custom commissions may require additional time. We will always advise you of an expected timescale once your design specification is finalised.
If you are hoping to receive a piece in time for a specific date, anniversary, or milestone, please contact our team using our contact form before placing your order. We will always do our utmost to accommodate tight deadlines where feasible.
Secure Delivery & Shipping
We treat the transit of your jewellery with the highest level of care. All of our parcels are dispatched using fully insured, trackable delivery services appropriate to the value of your piece.
Delivery Within the UK
Delivery is entirely complimentary for our UK customers. We primarily use premium, secure services like Royal Mail Special Delivery, and your tracking information will be provided as soon as your piece leaves our workshop.
International Shipping
We proudly ship to select destinations worldwide using trusted global couriers such as FedEx and DHL. International shipping is charged at cost price and will be calculated clearly within the checkout system before you place your order. We reserve the right not to export to some countries.
Important Delivery Security Note
For peace of mind and insurance purposes, a signature is strictly required upon delivery for all orders, both in the UK and overseas. We strongly discourage directing carriers to leave valuable jewellery shipments unattended. If you ask a carrier to depart from a signed-for delivery process, this may affect practical insurance handling.
Duties, Local Taxes & Customs
For our international clients living outside the United Kingdom, local import duties, taxes, or customs clearance fees may apply upon entry into your destination country.
How International Charges are Handled
Charges Displayed at Checkout: Wherever possible, our checkout system will calculate applicable local taxes, duties, and customs charges in advance. These will be displayed before you finalise your order and will form part of the amount due at your chosen payment stage.
Charges Payable Locally: In instances where these charges cannot be pre-calculated by our online system in advance, they remain the responsibility of the customer. In these cases, they may be payable directly to the courier or the relevant local customs authority prior to your delivery being released.
Please note that we are not responsible for transit delays caused by local customs clearance processes or for unexpected charges imposed by authorities in the destination country.
